Disruptive is looking for a Senior Gameplay Programmer to join our team to help make exciting games and build cutting-edge technology. This position will require you to work closely with design and art to accomplish shared goals. Help us build great multiplayer systems and integrate AI, animation, physics, and gameplay for our upcoming title.


What You’ll Do:

  • Work closely with internal and external team members to find solutions for problems across multiple domains, potentially including gameplay, rendering, physics, networking, and online systems in Unreal Engine.
  • Identify opportunities for additions and modifications to the existing engine, including optimizations and workflow improvements.
  • Contribute innovative and original ideas towards all aspects of the game’s production and development.
  • Implement practical solutions that meet the design and technical requirements for games and online services.
  • Work as a key part of an agile development team.
  • Work autonomously and take ownership of system design and functionality.
  • Participate in code reviews to identify potential issues within the code and propose solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Portfolio of work demonstrating strong proficiency as a Gameplay Engineer.
  • Experience building multiplayer features and systems in Unreal Engine.
  • Familiarity with computer architecture, design patterns, and common software engineering practices.
  • Excellent C++ skills.
  • 3+ years of professional game development experience.
  • Shipped one or more AAA game title(s).
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work autonomously toward aggressive deadlines.
  • Avid Gamer, with a passion for multiplayer games.

  • Development experience on PC and Consoles
  • Shipped game(s) on Unreal Engine
  • Experience as a team or group lead
  • Shipped at least 1 game with online features
  • Experience with CI / CD systems
